Research Initiatives

Despite its infrastructural limitations and inadequate resources, the college attempts to create an atmosphere conducive to research. 

• Students are encouraged to read in the library and the top three students with the highest library attendance are awarded each year.

• Under NEP 2020, students who have scored an aggregate of 75% or more are encouraged to pursue Honours with Research in their final year of studies.

• Faculty members organize national and international seminars and webinars, workshops and lecture programmes, often in collaboration with other institutions, to disseminate knowledge and share the expertise of the resource persons

• Faculty members are encouraged to participate in seminars and workshops for their career advancement.

• At present, 6 faculty members of the college hold PhDs and 2 have MPhil degrees.

• The college has a research advisory committee that works to ameliorate the research conditions and quality of the college.
